Sacramento Kings New Arena Drawings Renderings
The Sacramento Kings have unveiled drawings for their planned $448 million downtown Entertainment and Sports Center. The highly advanced 17,000-seat venue is set to open in October of 2016. However, construction will begin on the AECOM-designed arena later this summer.
The most noticeable feature of the new venue will be the “Grand Entrance” – which will measure 50 x 150 feet. The new arena will feature multiple balconies and farm-to-fork dining throughout the facility.
Along with be LEED certificated, the arena will be constructed using environmental-friendly materials, including precast concrete, composed of sand from San Benito and rocks of Sierra limestone.
The new arena’s design followed a survey of 20,000 Sacramento-area residents.
