The Cincinnati Reds hail from Cincinnati, Ohio and play in the Central Division of the National league. The Reds are hands down the oldest major club in the league. They were independently established in 1881. The Cincinnati Reds joined ties with the American Association in 1869. In 1890, the Red joined the National League. From 1969 to 1994 the Cincinnati Reds played ball in the National League West. From 1994 on the team was a part of the Central Division. Riverfront Stadium was the home of the Cincinnati Reds from the nineteen seventies until 2002. In 2003 the club moved to their new home at Great American Ball Park. The team has been owned by Bob Castelini since 2006. The Cincinnati Reds are ranked nearly the top of their division on a regular basis. There is an enormous amount of talent on the team.
