The New York Mets are one of the most well known teams in the MLB. The team is based in Queens, New York and plays in the East Division of the National League. This expansion team was founded in 1962 and has had a variety of home fields over the years. During 1962 and 1963 season, the Mets played home games at Pollo Grounds. They then moved to Shea Stadium, which was their home field until 2008. Since 2009, the team’s home park has been Citi Field.

1962 through 1968 were not good seasons for the New York Mets. In 1962, the Mets had the worst record in the league so far. Just when fans were losing hope, the New York Mets wowed them by going to the 1969 World Series. This feat earned them the name, “The Miracle Mets.” The team won the World Series against the Baltimore Orioles. Since then, the team has been back to the World Series many times, but they only claimed one additional championship title. When the team beat the Boston Red Sox in 1986, it was said to be due to the infamous Curse of the Bambino, which is a reference to George Herman “Babe” Ruth.

The New York Mets have only appeared in one pennant race, which they did not win. They have had some close calls over the years, but have not made any postseason appearances. Since 2010, the team has been under the management of Sandy Alderson and Terry Collins. This season, the team is full of talented players that are excited to prove themselves on the field. This year could be the year that the New York Mets break out of their losing streak. Tickget can ensure that you are there to see if they do. Tickget is one of the highest rated ticket outlets.
