Seattle

The Seattle Mariners are from Seattle, Washington and were franchised in 1977. The team currently plays in the Western Division of the American League. Kingdome was the home of the team from 1977 until July 1999, when the team moved to Safeco Field. The name of the team comes from the local area being marine like in culture. The team is also known as the M’s. This nickname accompanied their logo for a few years. The team colors are Navy Blue, silver, and a color known as a dark cyan. The official colors of the team have changed throughout the years. From 1977 to 1992, the team colors were Royal blue and gold. The team’s beloved mascot is known as the Mariner Moose.

Unfortunately, the team did not experience any real success until the early nineties not due to lack of talent. There have been many talented players on the team over the years. It was not until 1995 that the team won their first division championship title. The team set the title for the most wins in a single season in 2001 with a stunning one hundred sixteen wins. Their staggering amount of wins in a single seasons tied the Cubs for a MLB record.

There are only eight teams in the entire MLB that has never won a World Series Championship title. It is one out of two teams that has never even played in a World Series. This team is currently under corporate ownership and it is not the only corporately owned team in the MLB. In fact, the Blue Jays and the Braves are also corporately owned. The Seattle Mariners are owned by Nintendo of America.

This team has one of the most gifted pitchers that are currently playing in the American league. Felix Hernandez is sure to help lead the team to more than just a few victories this up and coming season. Tickget can help provide you with tickets to every game this season. Do not miss a second of the Mariners in action. Instead of watching at home from your high definition television, watch the game from the stands of Safeco Field. Watch every slide, every strike, and be ready for fly balls. There is a lot of anticipation from both the team and the fans the up and coming season. 2013 is hopefully going to be the best season yet for the Seattle Mariners.
