The Texas Rangers play ball in the American League’s Western Division.  The team is from the Dallas-Fort Worth Megaplex. From 1994 on, the Rangers played all homes games in Rangers Ball Park. Rangers Ball Park is located in historic Arlington, Texas.  The team was named after the Texas Rangers law enforcement agency. The franchise was established under the name the Washington Senators in 1961. The Senators were an expansion team of Washington D.C. It was not until 1971 that the team moved to Arlington, Texas. The team started the spring season of 1972 as the Rangers.

The Texas Rangers are no strangers to the MLB postseason. In fact, the team has been to the postseason and won division championships in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010, and 2011.
